Mr & Mrs Cafe, an innovative cafe relocation project located in the bustling area of Ara Damansara. This unique two-floor cafe aims to blend the charm of a traditional kopitiam with the vibrant energy of a young, chic cafe, creating a dynamic dining experience for patrons.

Our clients, experienced in the food and beverage business, envisioned a space that seamlessly transitions between two distinct styles. The goal was to create a comfortable environment where people can enjoy meals in a traditional kopitiam setting on one floor and then be pleasantly surprised by a stylish, youthful cafe environment on the other.

The design elements reflect this vision, featuring a mix of traditional kopitiam and modern, bright styles. The color palette includes shades of pink, turquoise, white, gold, and natural wood, combining to create a visually stimulating yet cohesive environment. Key materials such as solid wood, quartz countertops, and cement air bricks add both authenticity and modernity to the space.

One of the standout pieces in Mr & Mrs Cafe is the gold birdcage seating with pink cushions, set against a marble feature wall with gold lining. This element perfectly encapsulates the blend of tradition and modern chic, offering a striking visual focal point. Additionally, unique features like the fluted wall panels with LED light strips and a double-decker dining area enhance the overall aesthetic.

The project faced several challenges, including the need to maximize space efficiency while adhering to the structural layout and the integration of two drastically different concepts. Ensuring space practicality for cafe operations was also crucial.

These challenges were met with thoughtful solutions. A well-planned layout and design ensured a smooth flow between the two concepts, creating a surprising yet harmonious transition for patrons. Close liaison with the operations manager helped address and improvise upon any operational challenges faced during the transition.
