Interior Design & Architectural Project Info
Our approach to this design was to combine a modern style with a micro-industry color system. It expresses a harmony of functional flow along with an open concept and a view to the natural environment. In order to achieve a more cost-effective design, we focused on hard decoration while still attending to soft decoration. For the hard decoration, we adopted a multi-level design structure from the original two-story building to achieve a distinct spatial pattern. This enabled us to then focus on the soft decoration, which was all about the client's life-style and practical needs. Through the selection and placement of the furniture and decoration, we created a design that complemented the hard decoration and achieved spatial harmony.
According to the family's life style, we focused on the building's structure and layout to design the flow of the residence. Each room was created with its own unique character and with the use of steps and recessions we created a living area that was both functional and mysterious. We took advantage of the natural lighting to ensure that each room had sufficient lighting while achieving energy savings. The natural lighting also aligned with our concept of maintaining a balance between functional needs and view of the natural environment. This harmonious design created an area that promotes family gathering and interaction.
