Project Overview
Interior Design Project Info
Silence is not only essential but can be captivating in today’s bustling world. The conception behind designing this home was not to follow trends but to pursue timelessness through nature and culture. It runs through the facets of this open concept apartment that speaks of the beauty of imperfection and the art of skilled craftsmanship from a bygone era.
The furniture features pieces both by contemporary designers as well as antique finds. In the common area, a handcrafted Chinese cabinet, a series of wooden art carvings recovered from an old site in China, local heritage table and chairs in the dining area that benefits from the day’s first light flooding in through the custom stained glass.
The corridor, etched with a concealed bookshelf, leads to the powder room, it’s door adorned with Chinese art tiles and antique knobs. Retiring into the master that emanates a tranquil ambience, the bedside is an Indian rosewood end table paired with a concrete table lamp.
There’s harmony in the combination of the art, furniture and objects that exist in balance with one another. The materials have a natural beauty that will further improve with age. This abode is a little oasis of calm, designed with love and passion, embodying Sean’s take on life.
