Foodpanda is a young and vibrant company. Willing to forgo the conventional isolating office setting, they readily opened up themselves for an opened up working space that can encourage friendly and effective interaction between the team.
And hence, to effectively construct a sense of warmness, openness and welcoming experience in the design has become the main objectives for this project.
As one enters the space, one is greeted by the warm natural textures of wood and stone, accompanied by a potted table plant. Amidst the quiet nature elements, the space is also hinted by two small pieces of metal pendant light, gently yet warmly brightening up the space from above.
At the main office space, 40 office tables are neatly organized with tables facing each another. Without partition’s barrier, the team is able to reach out to one another in an instant. This arrangement of office space can aid in effective communication, and closer working relationship within the team.
Further connecting to another corner, there is a pantry and recreational area for coffee breaks and rest. The absence of walls allows the team to work freely between different spaces. Mixing and balancing fun, rest and work altogether.
As we understand the potential of an open fluid space may bring about a lot of movement and distractions. We consciously applied a monotonous earthy color scheme and minimalist aesthetic for the project, aiming to minimize color distractions and pulling back focusing energy into the space.
This project aims to create a fun, warm, open and welcoming space that encourages the team to be ever creative in problem solving and united, at the same time being able to stay focused and serious in their best working performance.
