Project Overview
Interior Design Project Info
Tucked in a residential enclave away from the city, the E&Y house is designed as a sanctuary for a retired couple with a love for all things modern tropical. The essence of the space is centred upon the couple’s lifestyle and passion for cooking and nature. An open spatial planning seamlessly combines the open concept kitchen, dining and living space to create a well-ventilated environment that allows ample natural lighting. The outdoor resort-style pergola with a chengal wooden deck connects the dining area to a water feature pond which reveals a lush and inviting garden.
The key design elements and carefully selected furniture integrates earthy tones with an off-white palette to provide a soft and cozy warmth. Clean lines, textured materials and natural wood accentuate a modern yet tranquil mood.
The first floor family hall is inspired by the Bali tropics, featuring a wooden fluted ceiling which enhances the double volume height with matching pendant lights. The bedrooms are designed with the occupants’ lifestyle in mind, delivering a bespoke aesthetic where form meets function.
Throughout the spaces, a soft scheme of neutral colours have been used with emphasis on lighting to create desired soothing hues and a relaxing ambience.
