We all want to work in cool and fun workspaces because all work and no play makes a person dull, right? Studies have proven that working in creative environments help improve efficiency and productivity.

Many Malaysian companies have since revamped their offices into cool spaces to help boost morale and make the office a place employees want to be at. Here are five companies who have done just that.

1 Leo Burnett

One of Malaysia’s leading creative agencies, Leo Burnett’s office is colourful and vibrant. The space carries a retro theme that reminds you of the good ol’ days. Maintaining the building’s terrazzo flooring, they’ve added wooden furniture to further enhance the the old-school feel – maybe they were going for the Mad Men look?

+ Points: Snooker table, game hub, televisions, and comfy couches!

2 MindValley

MindValley’s office has been the envy of many since they opened their doors in Menara UOA Bangsar. The multi-award winning interior design makes for a fun and productive environment, what with a theme of vibrant colours and versatility.

+ Points: Jedi Room, Steampunk Room, and a whole auditorium filled with bean bags!

3 Genovasi

Malaysia’s leading design thinking school Genovasi is geared at maximising productivity and creativity. So it comes as no surprise that their 20,000sq ft workspace features bean bags, a cafeteria filled with unlimited snacks and drinks, and a full-fledged futsal court!

+ Point: Their futsal court!

4 Google Malaysia

We were all anticipating Google’s arrival in Malaysia because all Google offices are #officegoals. Unfortunately, they haven’t given us an official peek into their lair but there are recorded footages from guests. From what we can see, we’ll bet they’re oozing cool on all 10,00 square feet game centres, an abundance of food, and of course, bean bags!

+ Points: Everything, really.

5 REV Asia

Formerly Catch Media, REV Asia has the least office-like atmosphere at their company. With creative digital platforms in hand like Says.co, Juice, and Oh! Bulan, it’s no wonder that the open space is brimming with creativity. The industrial themed space holds a game center, bar, and an overall chill environment.

+Points: Ping pong table, pool table, foosball table and their very own bar!
