On a rainy Thursday evening, October 10th, 2024, Baagus, together with Atap.co, welcomed over 30 designers to the grand reopening of their newly revamped flagship store in Kepong.

Despite the stormy weather, the design community gathered to explore Baagus’ fresh approach to home decor and discover the brand’s wide range of window treatments and wall decor.

Baagus CEO, Mr. Lucas Seak, started the event by sharing about the brand’s 30-year history as a trusted provider of quality window treatments and home accessories in Malaysia. He emphasized Baagus’ dedication to combining style and function, before sharing the brand’s future plans to stand out through innovation. “It’s time to bring something new—something that will surprise and inspire you,” Mr. Seak said, underlining their commitment to offering fresh and stylish products.

The attendees were then taken on a tour through the store’s thoughtfully designed concept rooms, each showcasing different materials and products. From blinds and sheer curtains to luxurious drapes, wallpapers, and accessories, the Baagus team demonstrated their full range. These spaces gave designers the chance to imagine how Baagus products could be used in their projects, helping them visualize the transformation these elements could bring to a space.

To deepen the experience, Baagus organized a fun interactive game that started right from the beginning of the event. Designers were shown images of different curtain materials and asked to locate and identify them within the showroom. The game ended with a lively quiz where those who answered correctly won special prizes from Baagus.

The evening concluded with a relaxed networking session over wine, where participants exchanged ideas and discussed possible collaborations. Many left feeling inspired by Baagus’ fresh concepts and new offerings, envisioning how they could incorporate these designs into their future projects.
