The third instalment of the Atap DesignVoyage is back! Happening on 4th October 2024, this exciting field trip will bring Malaysian designers and professionals in the interior design industry across Klang Valley to discover leading brands and companies in the interior design industry.
Following two successful trips in the past year, including an overseas trip to Saigon in July 2024, the upcoming Atap DesignVoyage will include guided showroom tours and insightful sessions with Stone Empire, Delux, and Samsung’s AI-incorporated home at Gamuda Cove.
Though exclusive to design professionals in Malaysia, homeowners can still catch a glimpse of the insightful trip and learn more about our partnering brands by following us on our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube channels.
With two weeks left before we embark on this design journey, read below for all the things our fellow designers can look forward to at the next Atap DesignVoyage.
1. Marvel at Stone Empire’s natural materials
Kicking off the trip with a tour around Stone Empire’s showroom, designers can discover the industry leader’s extensive selection of high-quality natural stone slabs. Participants will even get a chance to go behind the scenes to check out the advanced machinery that transforms these stones into beautifully crafted surfaces. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Stone Empire’s stunning materials have adorned residential and commercial projects like Merdeka 118 and The Met.
2. Experience life with AI at Samsung’s Gamuda Cove smart home
If you’ve ever wanted to discover seamless smart living, our second stop at Malaysia’s first Samsung Bespoke AI Home at Gamuda Cove makes for the perfect opportunity for this. Thanks to the township’s collaboration with Samsung, designers will get to experience the many ways home appliances and devices are integrated into our daily lives.
3. Explore Malaysia’s largest auto gate showroom at Delux
Next on the itinerary is an exclusive tour around Delux’s impressive new facility. Recognised as Malaysia’s largest trackless auto gate and security door showroom, the impressive space consists of two concept homes, over 20 types of security doors and over 10 types of trackless gates. From exploring their extensive home security solutions to their wide range of features, colours and materials, this trip will allow designers to learn more about the award-winning brand’s innovative processes involved in creating state-of-the-art solutions.
4. Indulge in unique gastronomical flavours at Black Tap
A full day of exploring is sure to work up an appetite which is why our participants can forward to indulging at Black Tap Sunway Resort Hotel for dinner. Known for its unique craft burgers, this iconic New York restaurant has been making waves with its distinctive and mouthwatering creations since landing in Malaysia last year. As designers unwind, mingle and share each other’s experiences over dinner, participants will even get to immerse in the unique murals by Malaysian street artist Kenji Chai.
5. Gain exclusive insights from industry experts
In addition to visiting leading showrooms and experiencing cutting-edge technology, this field trip will also feature exclusive talks by industry experts and brand representatives. With insights on the latest design trends, home technology, and material innovations, this trip will ensure designers stay ahead of the game with fresh ideas and inspiration to incorporate into upcoming projects.
6. Make meaningful connections with brands
At every stop, participants will get to engage directly with brand representatives whether it’s to learn about innovations, explore product opportunities for projects or spark potential collaborations. Building strong relationships can offer the opportunity for exclusive insights, making this trip more than just a tour but a unique networking opportunity that could elevate future projects.
7. Shape a stronger design industry
With this third Atap DesignVoyage instalment underway, witness a design industry that’s ever-evolving through stronger connections between brands and designers. By offering designers firsthand exposure to cutting-edge products and technologies, this trip will empower them to advance their skills, elevate the industry, and provide homeowners and clients with innovative, high-quality solutions in home design and renovation.
